Wolves
Okie dokie lokie, people, this next challenge coming up is wolves!
RULES:
1. Please create work specifically for the challenge, and do not submit works done from before the date of the challenge.
2. Please include that your piece is for the challenge in the description.
Deadline: July 1st
Now I know what you're thinking and yeah, this challenge sounds pretty straight forward. It's wolves. Just draw a stylized wolf. You've got to remember, though, that there's a lot of variation across the species Canis lupus and you aren't just limited to the classic big bad wolf of European fairy tales. There's wolves all over the globe and they come in plenty of shapes sizes and colors, so we want to see everything from your skinny little Arabian wolves to some ghostly Arctic fluff-balls.
And if you were cheeky and slipped in some red wolves or Ethiopian wolves, we wouldn't complain either.

And now, the voting. Pick your favorite, post the number in the comments. And anyone who doesn't vote is a square! Got it? Good!

After 10 days, the votes will be tallied up and the winner will be featured for the duration of the next challenge.

And that's a wrap! Get to drawing your wolves starting... now!

Mandrill

Welcome to the new year! I hope everyone’s holidays were happy and safe.
For the next couple of months, we challenge you to create a stylized piece with a mandrill theme. The mandrill, originally classified as a baboon, but later reclassified to be in its own genus, is native to tropical rainforests of central Africa. Hoards can number in the 100’s and sometimes be greater than 800 individuals!
The most recognizable feature of this primate is the vivid coloration of dominant males. Mandrills are the only mammal with red and blue skin pigmentation, which becomes brig

Tiger

For the next couple of months you are challenged to create a stylized representation of a tiger. With their distinctive stripes, strength, and ferocity tigers are probably one of the most recognizable animals in the world. Their cultural significance, especially in Asia, is complex and varied.
We encourage you to not only create a stylized tiger, but to also research and convey some of the rich history and significance tigers represent.

August and September Challenge:
Hummingbird
:thumb205091788: :thumb287999520:
For the next couple of months you are challenged to create a stylized representation of a hummingbird. These tiny feathered bullets are a familiar sight during the summer months in North America and backyard bird enthusiast can observe these birds upclose with a specialty feeder and sugar water.
With their distinct size, beak, and flying pattern, hummingbirds should provide ample inspiration for artists to create a stylized or abstract work.
